Corporate Finance
The courses concentrate on the particular skills of the corporate finance departments (also called investment banking or mergers and acquisitions) of a bank. This looks at the advice the corporate financier will give to clients relating to acquisitions and disposals: strategic rationale for M&A activity; identifying potential targets; valuing the target through DCF, comps, etc; merger analysis and accretion models; ability to pay analysis; sources of finance; optimum capital structure; and the M&A process and strategies. The result is that the delegates will feel comfortable with the core skills of the corporate financier.
