Tim Parr

I have had a broad experience within financial services over a ten year period prior to joining 7city.  These roles ranged from developing both mutual and fund of hedge fund products for High Net Worth Individuals and Institutional clients at Morgan Stanley; being a Buy Side credit analyst at a major pension fund manager in the UK; and supervisory roles at Deutsche Bank within both Global Credit Trading and Emerging Markets product control focusing on credit derivative flow, exotic and structuring businesses.

Much of my time spent at Deutsche Bank was during the recent financial crisis where I witnessed first hand the full effects on the credit-based trading activity of the bank which led me to play a substantial role in the team monitoring Deutsche Bank’s CDS counterparty exposure to monoline insurers, over €10bn of Marked-to-Market exposure at a time, when this was the number one issue for bank analysts.

Throughout my time at Deutsche Bank I was both a highly recommended in-house tutor delivering highly relevant and focused technical and software-specific classroom-based training to Deutsche Bank graduates and lateral hires in to Global Credit Trading product control in London and offshore centres in Manila and Mumbai.
At 7city I focus on developing courses for graduates on equity and debt products, derivatives, economics and investment management with an investment banking, sales and trading focus.

My formal education includes an undergraduate degree in Economics from Cambridge University, an MSc in Investment Management from Cass Business School and an MA in International Economics from Sussex University.

Tim ParrI would like to thank you sincerely for all your enthusiasm and hard work teaching the grads over the last four weeks.
