I have worked with and trained investment bankers, buy and sell side analysts as well as private equity and sovereign wealth investors for over 12 years.
At 7city my role as Head of Investment Banking focuses my time on client management and product development, as well as training.
My focus within the training arena is accounting for analysts, financial statement analysis for an equity and credit perspective as well as financial modelling and valuation.
I have worked with all of the top 10 global investment banks (by 2010 deal volume), designing and running some of the most respected global IBD programmes. My training commitments have taken me to the US, Africa, Middle and Far East, as well as Australia. 7city’s global offices have helped to ensure a globally consistent platform for these programmes.
Currently we are running programmes through China, Hong Kong and Japan for a global investment bank in order to bring into line technically late and lateral hires in these locations. These programmes not only require technical skills in accounting, valuation and modelling on a regional level, but also require us to tailor our training styles to the cultural diversity inherent to the region.
I am one of the lead authors of “The Complete Investment Banker” and the designer of the “Complete Analyst Series”. The system, comprising of technical material, on-the-job assistance and post course reinforcement has become the de facto learning system and internal IBD technical resource at a number of our existing IBD clients.
I have written and contributed to articles with the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Deal, Credit Union Times as well as efinancial careers.
