Having successfully completed the PCIAM means you have covered 94% of the RDR requirements. Now you need to complete a number of CPD gap fill hours to ensure that you are fully compliant before the December 2012 deadline.
Where are the gaps?
The RDR identifies the following areas requiring gap fill:
| Gaps requiring Filling | |
|---|---|
| Minimum structured learning CPD needed for top-up or gap fill to meet RDR requirements |
Core Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics - 1 hour Core Investment Principles & Risk - 3 hours Core Personal Taxation - 1 hour |
| Gaps to be filled, depending on specific delegate roles |
Securities - none Derivatives - 12 hours Pensions & Retirement Planning* - 6 hours *referred to as "Packaged Products" by the CISI |
Our solution
We have developed online training modules to address the gaps and help you become RDR compliant. Based on the minimum structured learning CPD identified within the RDR, we have developed an online learning programme tailored to meet your specific needs.
Qualifications assessment
You sign up for whichever modules are relevant to your position. If you are unsure about which modules you should be taking, we have developed a qualifications assessment questionnaire to complete before you access the online course to make sure that the programme you follow is correct for your role.
Modular online learning
We know that you're busy, so we've put together expert tutor recordings broken into manageable sections and there are supporting slide packs, including tutor-annotated notes. You can watch these recordings on the portal, or download them to any MP3 or MP4 player for review any time. The online portal also features access to our expert tutor faculty via our online helpdesk, so you can clarify outstanding issues.
The package includes:
- Access to a dedicated online portal
- Study plan providing an overview of progress across the modules
- Downloadable learning modules
- Online tests to demonstrate competence and knowledge acquisition
- Access to a tutor via our online helpdesk
- E-certification on completion
E-certification and validation
At the end of each module there is a short test and, assuming you pass, an e-certificate is issued as proof of completion of the course. These e-certificates validate your attendance and demonstrate that you have met the CPD gap fill requirements.
