Who takes the Investment Advice Diploma?
The Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment Level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice has been developed to provide delegates advising and/or dealing in securities or derivatives with the knowledge and skills required for their jobs. It is RDR compliant. The Investment Advice Diploma carries FSA approval and FSSC endorsement for the retail sector.
What's on the syllabus?
The Investment Advice Diploma consists of three units. Two are compulsory:
- FSA Regulation and Professional Integrity
- Investment, Risk and Taxation
And the third is a technical unit, chosen from the following list, depending on the role you hold:
- Derivatives
- Securities
- Private Client Advice
How much work is required?
We recommend 70 -100 hours of study per unit in order to pass the exam.
When are the exams?
The exams (with the exception of the Private Client Advice paper) take place throughout the year and are examined by computer based testing. More detail.
